Cave di Prun

Cave di Prun features long underground corridors extending two kilometers through the eastern side of Mount Robiago, displaying traditional stone extraction techniques.

The quarry operations commenced in the early 13th century, with stones being transported to the San Zeno monastery for processing by monks by 1360.

The quarrymen of Prun shaped the local landscape through manual excavation methods, creating extensive underground passages that reflect traditional mining practices.

Visitors can schedule guided tours of the quarry through the La Malga association, particularly during weekend periods throughout the year.

The underground chambers of Cave di Prun now serve multiple purposes, including material storage facilities and specialized areas for mushroom cultivation.
