San Francesco di Paola, Florence

San Francesco di Paola is a Renaissance church in the Oltrarno district with classical proportions and sculptural decorations created by skilled artisans of the period. Inside, visitors find religious paintings and wooden carvings that span from the 15th to the 17th century.

Construction began in the 1580s as part of a monastery complex and reached completion in the middle of the 17th century. A significant fresco moved here from another nearby church in 1785 added to its artistic importance.
