Nostra Signora de Regnos Altos, Religious museum in Bosa, Italy.
Nostra Signora de Regnos Altos is a chapel located inside Serravalle Castle with a rectangular layout and wooden roof. The building serves as both an active worship space with regular services and a museum for visitors to explore.
The chapel was built as a palatine structure between the 12th and 13th centuries. In the 14th century, Giovanni d'Arborea commissioned frescoes that decorated its interior walls.
The interior walls display medieval frescoes depicting religious scenes like the Adoration of the Magi and the Last Supper that visitors can see today. These painted images tell stories that have marked this space for hundreds of years.
The site is wheelchair accessible and offers regular visiting hours for both worship and museum visits. Keep in mind that active services may occasionally affect visiting times on certain days.
In 1847, a teenager discovered a wooden statue of the Virgin nursing baby Jesus hidden in the castle ruins. This discovery led to the site being renamed and dedicated to this sacred image.
