Cloisters of Sant'Ambrogio, Renaissance cloister at Catholic University campus, Milan, Italy

The complex features two square cloisters measuring sixty meters per side, with Doric columns in one and Ionic columns in the other structure.

Cardinal Ascanio Sforza commissioned architect Donato Bramante to design four cloisters in 1497, though only two were constructed following extensive delays.

The cloisters house frescoes by Callisto Piazza from 1545 depicting the Wedding at Cana in the former refectory, now serving as the Great Hall.

The Cloisters of Sant'Ambrogio function as part of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore campus, providing educational spaces across multiple levels.

Archaeological excavations in the 1980s revealed a Roman necropolis and a circular brick structure identified as the Cistercian monastery's ice house.
