Chiesa di Santa Maria Madre della Misericordia

The chiesa di Santa Maria Madre della Misericordia is a church in the Prenestino-Labicano district of Rome with a rectangular floor plan and wooden ceiling structure. The interior is illuminated by five large windows with stained glass depicting religious scenes.

Architect Tullio Rossi designed and built the structure in 1937 as part of an initiative to construct churches following the signing of the Concordat. This period saw new religious buildings emerge in developing urban neighborhoods.

The church displays features of Italian religious architecture with its distinctive roof form and entrance structure that reflect daily spiritual life in the neighborhood. Visitors notice how the colored windows fill the interior with light during services.

The building is located on Via dei Gordiani 365 and is accessible to visitors during opening hours. The simple rectangular layout makes it easy to view the entire structure and its features quickly.

The five stained glass windows were added to the building after its initial construction and display detailed religious narratives that shape the interior light. These windows are a later addition to the original design.
