Colonia di Rovegno is a former summer colony at 950 m in the municipality of Rovegno, in the upper Trebbia valley, designed by engineer Camillo Nardi Greco and built in 1934. It is a typical example of rationalist architecture: long dormitory wings with ordered window rows and plain surfaces, plus a large chalet added to the west in 1939 as an infirmary, raising capacity from 450 to 500 beds.

The building opened in 1934 when Italian architecture was shifting toward modernist approaches. This period marked a break from older architectural traditions and introduced new structural thinking across Italy.

The colony's name and use recall the Fascist-era summer camps for children from Genoa's crowded, polluted historic centre, who stayed free of charge, travel and sports equipment included. The regime funded these camps to shape young people's education, and the hygienic, sun-based anti-tuberculosis regimen was central to the stay. A plaque placed at the main entrance by RSI sympathisers, later destroyed and restored in 2001, marks the site's contested memory.

The building stands at 950 m in the municipality of Rovegno, in the upper Trebbia valley, and is reached by road from the village. The 1939 chalet used as an infirmary extends the complex to the west, so walk that side too to see the full layout. The main entrance is where a commemorative plaque was placed, destroyed and then restored with provincial funding in 2001.

A plaque honouring soldiers of the Italian Social Republic was placed at the main entrance after the war, destroyed by unknown persons, and its restoration was funded by the Genoa provincial council in 2001 following a request by the AN councillor group. Between March and April 1945 prisoners held here were executed and buried in mass graves in the nearby woods; a 1946 police document hypothesised about 600 bodies, later reduced to 129 Italians and 31 German soldiers found after the fighting ended.
