Forte Monte Folaga

Forte Monte Folaga is a military fort located in Pastrengo at roughly 450 meters (1,475 feet) elevation, built with thick stone walls and several artillery positions. The structure was designed for territorial defense and features the typical layout of an Alpine fortification.

The fort was built between 1859 and 1860 by the Austrian Empire as part of the defensive line during the Italian unification conflicts. The fortification was created during a time of major political upheaval in the region.
