Forum Palermo, Shopping center in Palermo, Italy
Forum Palermo is a shopping center in Palermo featuring approximately 135 stores spread across multiple buildings. The complex is organized around circular courtyards and incorporates Mediterranean architectural details throughout its interconnected structure.
The shopping center opened in 2009 and represented a major expansion of commercial infrastructure in the region. Its design based on Mediterranean village concepts was intentional from the beginning.
The building brings together Mediterranean village design with modern shopping spaces, creating open courtyards that recall traditional town squares. This mix makes it feel less like a typical mall and more like a series of connected outdoor gathering places.
The center provides 2,500 parking spaces and hosts major stores such as H&M and Zara along with a large supermarket. Multiple restaurants and food stalls are located inside, making it easy to break up shopping with meals.
The dining area was redesigned in 2021 and now features five full restaurants plus multiple food kiosks. This renovated section, spanning about 1,400 square meters (15,000 sq ft), is significantly larger than typical mall food courts.
