Grotto Calgeron, Natural cave in Grigno, Valsugana, Italy

The cave extends 3,600 meters horizontally through limestone formations, containing numerous water features, mineral deposits, and specialized geological chambers throughout its passages.

Geological analysis of white clay layers within the cave system indicates its formation dates back to the Riss glaciation period, approximately 250,000 years ago.

The cave received its alternative name, GB Trener, in recognition of a significant geological researcher who contributed to the understanding of regional cave formations.

Visitors can access the initial 2 kilometers of the cave system, while the remaining sections require professional guidance and specialized equipment for exploration.

Lake Pasa, stretching 80 meters in length with a 4-meter depth, stands as one of the largest underground water bodies in the cave network.
