Mondolé Ski, Ski resort in Cuneo Province, Italy
Mondolé Ski connects three separate ski areas - Artesina, Frabosa Soprana, and Prato Nevoso - into one larger winter sports destination in the Alps. The combined slopes total around 130 kilometers across different elevation zones and difficulty levels.
The resort began in the late 1940s when Frabosa Soprana became the first winter sports location in the Piedmont region. This early start led to gradual expansion that eventually connected it with neighboring areas.
The resort connects to how mountain communities have long used these slopes for winter sports and gathering. Local ski schools share techniques passed down through generations of families living in these valleys.
The resort operates around 25 ski lifts with a hands-free pass system, running from early morning through late afternoon. The three connected areas let you move between zones and explore different experiences throughout the day.
Prato Nevoso has lit slopes for night skiing under the stars, a rare feature in the region. A dedicated zone called Pratolandia allows young children to try skiing in a safe, enclosed setting.
