Monte Alpet

Monte Alpet is a mountain summit in the Ligurian Alps reaching approximately 1,600 meters, marked by steep slopes and open meadows. The terrain shifts between wooded sections and open grassland, creating varied landscapes across the mountainside.

The mountain served since medieval times as a natural boundary between different Alpine communities and settlements. Ancient pathways connected these groups, showing a long history of human movement through the area.

Local herders shape the slopes through seasonal grazing, creating visible patterns of use and care across the landscape. This ongoing practice ties the community to the mountain's rhythms and natural cycles.

Marked trails lead to the summit, with the main path starting from the chairlift base station and offering different difficulty levels. Seasonal changes in snow or vegetation can alter the trails, so planning flexibility is useful.

Mediterranean and Alpine plant species meet here, creating an unusual mix of vegetation in one location. This combination is rare and adds botanical interest to any visit.
