Bric Mindino, Mountain summit in Piedmont, Italy

Bric Mindino is a 1,879-metre summit in the Ligurian Alps, in the municipality of Garessio, where the Tanaro, Casotto and Mongia drainage basins meet. It rises in isolation north-east of the Colla di Casotto, on rounded slopes of modest gradient. A 25-metre cross of metal, glass and concrete, inaugurated in 1969, stands on the top.

The 25-metre cross on the summit was inaugurated in 1969 on the initiative of the parish priest of Mindino, a hamlet of Garessio, in memory of the fallen of all wars. It is built of metal, glass and concrete and has a powerful lighting system. In the 1970s the Saint Gréé ski facilities were built in the area.

The best-known ascent starts at Colla di Casotto and follows a dirt road and then a trail to the summit. The mountain can also be reached on foot from Valcasotto (Pamparato) or in just over three hours from Saint Gréé, and by mountain bike from Colla di Casotto, Viola-Saint Gréé or Garessio. In winter, the snowshoe route from Colla di Casotto is considered easy and safe for beginners.

On clear days, the summit offers sweeping views of some of the highest alpine peaks, including the Barre des Ecrins and Gran Paradiso in the far distance. This long-distance vista stretches across roughly 160 kilometers of terrain.
