Monte Acero, Mountain peak in Telesina Valley, Italy.

Monte Acero rises to 736 meters above sea level in the Matese mountain range, surrounded by three kilometers of stone walls.

The mountain features megalithic walls constructed by Oscan Samnites in the 6th century BC, serving as a strategic observation point.

A cast-iron statue of Christ the Redeemer, established in 1902 through Pope Leo XIII's initiative, stands at the eastern peak.

Hiking trails lead to the summit, offering multiple routes suitable for different skill levels through the natural terrain.

The mountain ranks as the 34th highest peak among 1534 mountains in Campania and 5th among 255 peaks in Benevento.
