Murazzi del Po. Torino, River embankment and entertainment district in central Torino, Italy.
The stone walls extend along the western bank of the Po River, featuring a series of arches and boat sheds near the historic center.
Carlo Bernardo Mosca constructed the first section between 1833 and 1835, following Joseph La Ramée Pertinchamp's original design from 1808.
The area transformed from a fishing boat storage space in the 1950s to a central entertainment district for young people in the 1980s.
Sections of the Murazzi experience flooding during heavy rainfall, with water levels rising several meters above the riverbank.
In 2014, parts of the embankment received names honoring local singers Fred Buscaglione and Gipo Farassino through official dedication ceremonies.
