Palazzo Pretorio

Palazzo Pretorio is a former administrative center that now displays artworks, ancient objects, and archaeological finds from different periods. The building organizes the collection across multiple floors and rooms to offer an overview of the region's art history.

The building was constructed in the early to mid-12th century and was originally a ruling seat for local counts. It later came under control of Florence and changed its purpose from residence to administrative center.

Inside you can see frescoes and artworks from medieval and Renaissance masters displayed on the walls. These pieces show which artists shaped the region and how much the city valued art and creativity.
