Built on the site of former Italian Army barracks, the Palazzo Campanella opened in March 2000 to serve as the seat of the Regional Council of Calabria.
The building bears the name of Calabrian philosopher Tommaso Campanella, selected through public consultation to represent regional identity.
Located at Via Quartiere Militare 28, the palace includes conference rooms, an auditorium, a public library, and underground parking facilities.
From 2009 to 2013, the palace temporarily housed the Riace Bronzes during their restoration period.
