Torre Nervi

Torre Nervi is a three-story modern tower situated on the Reggio Calabria waterfront near Independence Square. Its polygonal structure features a white-lacquered metal and glass facade that floods the interior with natural light.

Engineer Pier Luigi Nervi designed this structure in the 1970s to replace an older circular building at the municipal beach. The tower emerged during a period when modern architecture was reshaping public spaces along Italy's coastal areas.

The tower serves as a venue for artistic exhibitions and cultural events organized by the local Academy of Fine Arts. Visitors encounter contemporary works and creative initiatives displayed throughout its modern spaces.

The tower is accessible from both the municipal beach and the waterfront promenade in central Reggio Calabria. Dining and service facilities operate during summer months, making it convenient for a casual visit along the coast.

The building underwent major renovation in 2007, transforming it into a recreational space with dining and nightlife venues. This renovation gave the structure a new purpose as a hub for evening entertainment and gatherings.
