Cattolica dei Greci

The Cattolica dei Greci is a neoclassical church in Reggio Calabria featuring a gilded bronze portal with scenes from the Old and New Testaments leading toward the altar. The interior combines architectural elements reflecting both Eastern and Western traditions within a single worship space.

The church dates to around 1000 and served as the primary place of Christian worship during the Byzantine period in Reggio Calabria. Throughout the centuries, it maintained its role as a center for the Eastern Christian community in the region.
