Palazzo Sanguinetti, Neoclassical palace in Bologna, Italy

Located at Strada Maggiore 34, Palazzo Sanguinetti features a monumental staircase and two courtyards, with the larger one displaying a central flowerbed of Convallaria japonica.

The palace, dating from the early 16th century, belonged to the Loiani family before being sold to the Riario brothers in 1569, who transformed it into a unified structure.

The International Museum and Library of Music, established in 2004, houses manuscripts, printed music, and musical instruments documenting Bologna's musical heritage.

The palace functions as a public museum and library, offering guided tours and access to researchers studying the extensive collection of musical documents and artifacts.

Luigi Busatti created a trompe l'oeil fresco landscape in the smaller courtyard during the 19th century, adding to the palace's artistic significance.
