Palazzo Silvestri-Rivaldi, Renaissance palace near Roman Forum, Italy
The palace presents a complex architectural structure with multiple access points from Via del Tempio della Pace and Via del Colosseo with a connecting park.
Construction of the palace began in 1547 under architect Antonio da Sangallo for Eurialo Silvestri, chamberlain of Pope Paolo III Farnese, and finished in 1586.
The interior walls and vaults contain frescoes by artist Perin Del Vaga, although many paintings have deteriorated due to building abandonment over time.
The palace remains closed to visitors, with visible scaffolding surrounding the structure as part of a 40 million euro restoration project by the culture ministry.
The building might become the permanent home of the Torlonia Collection, one of the largest private collections of Greek-Roman classical sculptures in existence.
