Piazza Grande

Piazza Grande is a residential complex in the Arenaccia district with a distinctive circular layout and six towers positioned around its outer edge. The development contains apartments, shops, schools, and parking areas all arranged in a ring around the central plaza.

Construction took place between 1979 and 1989 under the direction of Italian architects who envisioned a new model for residential living. The project emerged from urban planning efforts aimed at developing the Arenaccia district.

This residential zone was designed as a modern gathering place where residents can meet and interact in a shared central area. The space today serves as a focal point where everyday life unfolds, from casual conversations to community moments.

The circular layout makes it easy to walk around the entire complex without feeling lost or disoriented. Multiple entry points allow visitors to access the central plaza from different areas.

The complex incorporates twelve service towers positioned radially from the center, concealing all vertical infrastructure like elevators and stairs within them. This design choice keeps the residential facades clean and free from visible pipes and technical elements.
