Pinacoteca civica

The Pinacoteca civica occupies the second floor of Palazzo dei Priori and displays artworks from different periods across five exhibition halls. The collection includes paintings, sculptures, and other artistic objects ranging from medieval times to more recent centuries.

The museum grew from an art collection kept in Palazzo dei Priori, an important building that housed the city's institutions since medieval times. The collection expanded over centuries through purchases and donations.

The Gothic art galleries display religious paintings from the 14th and 15th centuries that show how artists of that period approached sacred subjects. Walking through these rooms gives you a sense of the artistic traditions that shaped the region.

The museum is located inside Palazzo dei Priori in downtown Fermo and is easily accessible on foot. The best time to visit is in the morning when it is less crowded and you can view the artworks at a relaxed pace.

A special feature is a large handmade globe from 1713 covered with royal paper from Fabriano. This rare globe was created by an abbot and holds a prominent place among the museum's displays.
