Porto Ferro

Porto Ferro is a coastal beach near Sassari with a sandy shoreline bordered by red cliffs and backing dunes. Behind the beach lies a landscape of pine forest and Mediterranean scrub that extends inland.

German forces built military bunkers and fortifications here during World War II as coastal defenses. These structures remain visible at various points along the shoreline today.

Free parking is available at the southern end, and lifeguards are on duty during summer months. Basic facilities like showers are accessible, making it straightforward to visit and spend time on the sand.
