Pizzo Badile Camuno, Mountain summit in Lombardy, Italy
Pizzo Badile Camuno is a mountain peak in the Alps rising to 2435 meters with a steep west-facing wall. Multiple climbing routes run along the north side, many featuring secured wire rope sections.
Regional mountaineers carved and secured climbing paths into the rock face over the past century. This work created a network of routes accessible to climbers of different skill levels.
The mountain draws climbers from across the region who share routes and techniques passed down through the years. The rock formations show traces of how many people have made this place their own.
Most routes require via ferrata equipment and a helmet for the secured wire rope sections. Starting points are usually near Rifugio De Marie, located at 1391 meters elevation.
The summit offers a mix of technical climbing passages and more accessible routes within a compact area. This allows climbers of different experience levels to practice together on the same mountain.
