Parco dell'Acquasola, Public park in central Genoa, Italy

Positioned on a hilltop, Parco dell'Acquasola extends from Piazza Corvetto to the Monumental Bridge, forming a green space with walking paths and landscaped gardens.

The land served as part of Genoa's 14th-century defensive walls before architect Carlo Barabino transformed it into the city's first public park in 1825.

Charles Dickens documented the park in his work 'Pictures of Italy' in 1843, noting the military band performances and social gatherings of local nobility.

The park maintains daily operating hours from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM, offering sports tracks, children's play areas, and informative maps throughout the premises.

Archaeological excavations during metro construction revealed a 7th century BC burial mound containing Etruscan artifacts beneath the park grounds.
