Palazzo Zuccarino

Palazzo Zuccarino is a five-story building with an attic in Genoa located at Via Maragliano 2, distinguished by its rusticated stonework facade and prominent central balconies. The original entrance hall preserves the names of the architect and builder on its walls.

Construction was completed in 1907 under architect Gino Coppedè and builder Giovanni Zuccarino. The project coincided with Genoa's urban renovation period in the early 1900s.

The building blends Art Nouveau elements with traditional Italian architecture typical of the early 1900s. Its rusticated stonework and prominent central balconies remain defining features of the street today.

The building sits in a central area of Genoa near several historical landmarks and is easily reached via the main street. A visit works well combined with exploration of the surrounding neighborhood.

The facade underwent revisions during the planning phase at Giovanni Zuccarino's request, with adjustments made to courtyard dimensions and decorative details. These changes reveal how significantly the builder shaped the building's final appearance.
