Civico museo biblioteca dell'attore

The Civic Museum Library of the Actor preserves and displays over 45,000 volumes, photographs, stage costumes, sketches, and scripts related to theater history.

The museum originated in 1966 as part of Teatro Stabile di Genova, receiving its first collection from the Salvini family's theatrical memorabilia.

The institution maintains 72,000 autographs, 69,000 photographs, and 1,300 scripts documenting Italian theatrical performances from the 18th century onwards.

Located at Via del Seminario 10, the museum collaborates with the University of Genoa and provides wheelchair access to all visitors.

The museum houses an 18th-century puppet theater called Teatrino Rissone, currently displayed at the Edmondo De Amicis Library.
