Teatro Comunale Ebe Stignani features a neoclassical interior with decorative paintings by Felice Giani and Gaetano Bertolani across its 466-seat auditorium.
The building transformed from the Church of San Francesco into a theater, opening its doors in 1812 after local dignitaries funded extensive renovations.
The theater presents a diverse program of Italian and international works, from Goldoni and Shakespeare plays to Rossini and Puccini operas throughout the year.
Regular performances occur during Carnival season between January and February, during May processions, and August festivities of San Cassiano.
A digital archive maintains records of 500 theatrical productions and 1,500 performers who have appeared on stage since 1974.
