Teatro Comunale Ebe Stignani

Teatro Comunale Ebe Stignani is a former church converted into a theater with seating for about 466 people. The auditorium features neoclassical design with decorative paintings by Felice Giani and Gaetano Bertolani adorning the walls and ceiling.

Originally built as the Church of San Francesco, the building underwent extensive renovations and opened as a theater in 1812 thanks to funding from local dignitaries. This transformation gave the space a new purpose as a venue for artistic performances.

The theater presents a diverse program of Italian and international works throughout the year, from Goldoni and Shakespeare to Rossini and Puccini. These performances remain central to the city's cultural life and draw both residents and visiting audiences.
