The Teatro del Silenzio sits within Tuscan hills, featuring a natural amphitheater structure with a central sculptural head by Igor Mitoraj.
Founded in 2006 through Andrea Bocelli's initiative, the municipality of Lajatico constructed this venue using the natural contours of the landscape.
International performers including Laura Pausini, Placido Domingo, and Jose Carreras have joined Andrea Bocelli for annual summer concerts at this location.
The theater maintains a capacity of 10,000 visitors and operates one day per year in July, remaining inactive for the other 364 days.
The amphitheater transforms annually with different artistic installations while retaining its central sculptural element throughout the silent periods.
