Villa Rospigliosi

Villa Rospigliosi is a Baroque building with a square central section and two side wings, featuring stone frames around its architectural details and two main entrance doors. Today the property serves as a venue for exhibitions, concerts, and cultural events while housing a Michelin-starred restaurant.

The villa was commissioned after 1667 when the future Pope Clement IX entrusted the design to the architect Gian Lorenzo Bernini. This construction reflects the ambitions of Church leadership during the Baroque period.

The main ballroom displays a fresco cycle showing zodiac signs, Apollo's chariot, and Aurora scattering flowers across the ceiling. These painted scenes reflect the refined taste and status of those who once lived here.
