Villa Valmarana Morosini, Baroque villa in Altavilla Vicentina, Italy

Villa Valmarana Morosini is a Baroque structure with a three-part facade decorated with balcony swags and statues symbolizing abundance. The design merges Baroque and Palladian elements, featuring an ornate front face and a distinct rear elevation facing the town's main street.

The building was completed in 1724 on land that had belonged to the Valmarana family since 1550. During World War I, it served as a storage facility for military ammunition.

The main hall inside displays ornate stucco work and painted frescoes that showcase the artistic skill of 18th-century craftsmen. These decorations remain visible today, showing how the space was designed to impress and demonstrate wealth.

The villa is currently home to the CUOA Foundation, a business education center, and a hotel developed from converted farmhouses on the property. Access may vary depending on the activities taking place, so planning ahead is advised.

The front elevation displays elaborate decorative details, while the rear facade is deliberately simpler and aligns with the town's street layout. This contrast shows how the architecture was strategically designed to make an impression on those approaching from the main direction.
