Ca' d'Oro

The Ca' d'Oro palace features three arches on the piano nobile, framed by four half-columns with Corinthian capitals rising three-quarters up the wall.

The construction of Ca' d'Oro started in 1565 under Andrea Palladio's supervision but faced delays until completion in 1574 after Bernardo Schio's death.

The palace represents the International Gothic architectural movement through its vertical elements, detailed stonework, and balanced symmetrical design principles.

Visitors can observe the interplay of light across the facade's multiple depth layers, created through columns, moldings, balcony windows, and gables.

The entrance lobby incorporates an archway that interrupts the textured stonework pattern, with trapezoidal grounds flanking two side openings at the base.
