Palazzo Trissino al Corso, Renaissance palace and town hall on Corso Andrea Palladio, Vicenza, Italy

Palazzo Trissino al Corso is a three-story Renaissance palace with a grand Ionic portico of white stone columns facing the main street, while upper levels display composite pilasters along the facade. The building connects internally to the adjacent Palazzo del Capitaniato and houses various municipal offices including those responsible for economic development and tourism.

Designed by architect Vincenzo Scamozzi in 1588 for patron Galeazzo Trissino, the palace replaced an earlier building that had belonged to Count Achille Trissino. The construction marked a shift in the city's architectural landscape toward High Renaissance design principles that would define the area for centuries.

The Salone degli Stucchi with its restored stucco ceilings and frescoes serves today as a venue for concerts, conferences, and civil ceremonies. The room preserves its artistic decoration from past centuries and remains central to the city's cultural life.

The building is accessible to the public during certain hours, particularly when cultural events take place, though parts remain in active municipal use. It is best to check in advance which areas are open to visitors, as access varies depending on the schedule of offices and events.

The Mayor's Office preserves the city's historic flag, decorated with gold medals honoring military valor from 1848 and 1994. This banner visibly connects two distinct moments separated by more than a century and a half of the city's past.
