Castello di Inici, Medieval castle in Castellammare del Golfo, Italy.

The castle stands on the southern slope of Mount Inici, featuring stone walls, courtyards, chapels, and a tower that dominated the valley facing Segesta.

Built before 1535, the castle hosted Emperor Charles V during his journey to Palermo and later became property of the Jesuits through a donation in 1597.

The castle chapel contains frescoes by painter Domenico La Bruna and represents the architectural evolution of Sicilian defensive structures through centuries.

The structure suffered extensive damage during the 1968 earthquake, leading to the collapse of its tower in 1998 and remains in an abandoned state.

During the 20th century, the castle functioned as a community center housing 50 residents, a post office, and a local school.
