Palazzo Ricca stands at Via dei Tribunali 213 in central Naples, featuring an elaborate late-Baroque facade and interlacing staircases in the courtyard.
The palace was purchased in 1616 for 10,000 ducats from Gaspare Ricca and housed the Banco dei Poveri, a financial institution serving Naples since the 16th century.
The palace contains the Historical Archive of Banco di Napoli Foundation, preserving three million documents that detail the financial history of Southern Italy.
The archive maintains 32,000 essays about legal and economic topics, plus 48,000 financial newspapers, available for research and consultation.
The building showcases architectural elements by Ferdinando Sanfelice and holds 250 silver and gold relics from the Bank of Naples history.
