Palais de Castagneto Po

Palais de Castagneto Po is a building combining neo-gothic, baroque, and Renaissance architectural elements across 40 rooms. The property sits within a large park featuring mature trees and formal gardens.

The building began as a fortress before the 11th century but was destroyed by French troops in 1705. Reconstruction took place gradually over the following decades until the mid-18th century.

After 1952, the palace became a meeting place for musicians and artists when a renowned composer acquired it. This setting attracted major figures from the music world at that time.

The estate sits in a quiet area about 25 kilometers east of Turin, with parking available around the grounds. Access to the gardens and main building is clearly marked and fairly straightforward.

The building was a private residence for decades but was purchased in 2009 by a Saudi businessman who planned to convert it into a luxury hotel. These plans reflect how the architecture and grounds appealed to investors worldwide.
