Castle of Montegiove is a fortified building from the 13th century, built around 1280, located at 627 meters above sea level on the border between the old city-states of Orvieto and Perugia, in the municipality of Montegabbione, province of Terni. The estate covers nearly 1,200 hectares of olive groves, woods, pastures and vineyards, and remains a private family-run farm.

The Bulgarelli, Counts of Marsciano, built the castle in the 13th century, around 1280, on the ruins of a temple to Iuppiter Elicius, which gave the site its name. It certainly existed by 1282, when a request was granted to build an oratory on the estate, now known as La Scarzuola. The Misciattelli family has owned it since 1780.

The castle is the birthplace of Blessed Angelina of Marsciano (1357–1435), who founded the Third Order Regular of Saint Francis. It was also one of the residences of the condottiero Gattamelata. The estate's name comes from the temple of Iuppiter Elicius on whose ruins the castle was built.

The estate keeps a truffle reserve where two species grow, the scorzone and the uncinato, and Chianina cattle, the white breed typical of the area, graze its pastures. The farm also produces Orvietano Rosso d.o.c. and Umbria rosso i.g.t wines and extra-virgin olive oil.
