Spiaggia La Sorgente

Spiaggia La Sorgente is a pebbly beach on the northern coast of Portoferraio with white stones and water that shifts between turquoise and deep blue. The shoreline stretches roughly 80 meters and is framed by white granite cliffs.

The beach has long served as a natural anchorage point for fishermen and sailors who benefited from the sheltered bay. In 2016, the Municipality of Portoferraio introduced new navigation safety rules to protect swimmers.

The beach serves as a gathering place where both locals and visitors come together for swimming, kayaking, and water sports. People use this spot to spend time in the water and enjoy simple seaside activities.

The beach is roughly 4.5 kilometers from Portoferraio and accessible via a short walk after parking along the provincial road toward Enfola. The access is straightforward and suitable for most visitors.

The water here is notably clear, offering good visibility for snorkeling and exploring underwater. This quality makes the spot popular with visitors who enjoy looking beneath the surface.
