The Fondazione Prada Building combines renovated warehouses, laboratories, and brewing silos around a central courtyard, creating a 19,900-square-meter architectural complex.
This former gin distillery, established in 1910, underwent a transformation from 2008 to 2018 under the direction of architect Rem Koolhaas and his firm OMA.
The foundation displays international contemporary art exhibitions across multiple galleries, a cinema space, and hosts educational programs throughout the year.
Eight elevators provide access throughout the complex, which includes exhibition spaces, restaurants, and a rooftop terrace offering views of Milan.
The Torre, a 60-meter white concrete tower completed in 2018, adds a contemporary element to the industrial heritage of the site.
