Fondazione Prada Building

Fondazione Prada Building combines renovated warehouses, laboratories, and brewing equipment arranged around a central courtyard. The entire 19,900-square-meter complex houses exhibition spaces, restaurants, and a rooftop terrace with views across Milan.

This site began as a gin distillery founded in 1910 that operated as a production facility for decades. Architect Rem Koolhaas led a major transformation from 2008 to 2018, converting the industrial complex into a contemporary art center.

The foundation presents contemporary art from artists around the world across its galleries and cinema. You experience how modern artistic expression takes shape within this industrial setting, making the space itself part of the cultural conversation.

The complex is well-connected by elevators throughout its different levels and sections. Plan to spend time exploring the exhibition areas, dining options, and outdoor spaces, as the site covers significant ground.

A striking white concrete tower called the Torre rises 60 meters and was completed in 2018. This modern addition creates an unexpected visual landmark that contrasts sharply with the site's industrial past.
