Chiesa di San Paolo

The Chiesa di San Paolo exhibits a three-tiered facade adorned with Corinthian columns and contains twelve apostle statues on its third level.

Following the 1693 earthquake that destroyed the original structure, the current basilica was constructed between 1720 and 1730 in Baroque style.

The church celebrates its patron saint on June 29 with the Festa di San Paolo, featuring the u giru ro pani ritual of bread distribution.

Visitors can access the church through a series of ascending ramps that lead to the main entrance portal with bronze reliefs.

The central bell tower features an uncommon onion dome design that distinguishes it from traditional Italian church architecture.
