Museo archeologico di Palazzo Cappellani

The Palazzo Cappellani museum displays archaeological finds from the region, including marble statues, red-figure kraters, and stone faces from ancient civilizations.

The building was purchased by the Sicilian Region in the 1960s and transformed into a museum, which officially opened on December 27, 2014.

The collection features materials from prehistory to the Byzantine era, with artifacts originating from archaeological sites of Akrai, Kasmene, and Leontinoi.

The museum opens daily from 08:30 to 19:30, with last entry at 18:30, except Thursdays when it closes at 18:15.

The museum contains numerous archaeological objects from Baron Gabriele Judica's collection, including kylikes, pyxes, and terracotta weights from ancient looms.
