San Giovanni Battista e San Pietro is a Baroque parish church in Stezzano with a three-order 18th-century facade adorned with statues carved by Pier Paolo Pirovano between 1726 and 1730. Its single nave has side chapels, and the deep presbytery holds a walnut choir carved in 1703 by Giovan Battista Caniana. The adjacent brick and stone bell tower rises 68.60 metres, topped by a 6.50-metre copper-covered statue of Saint John the Baptist.

Construction of this church began in 1688 with the laying of the foundation stone for the current building. The building was completed and opened for religious services in 1703, establishing it as a religious center for the region.

The church keeps a walnut choir carved in 1703 by Giovan Battista Caniana and a 1708 walnut cupboard made with his daughter Caterina. In the sacristy are frescoes by Giulio Quaglio. The facade statues were placed in their niches in 1723.

The church stands in the centre of Stezzano, in the province and diocese of Bergamo, and belongs to the Dalmine-Stezzano vicariate. The bell tower, 68.60 m of brick and stone plus a 6.50 m copper-clad statue, rises beside the church on the foundations of the old castle watchtower. The exterior was restored between 2019 and 2020, and the tower in 2017, when its cornices, music-making angels and white marble clock were cleaned.

The bell tower, built between 1737 and 1764 on the foundations of a watchtower of the old Stezzano castle, reaches 68.60 m, plus a 6.50 m copper-covered statue of Saint John by Anton Maria Pirovano (1767). The statue turns with the wind and usually points toward the upper town when a storm approaches.
