Torre abbaziale di San Zeno

The San Zeno Abbey Tower rises six stories high, featuring Ghibelline battlements and round-arched windows within its substantial brick structure.

The tower's construction started in 1169, with subsequent elevation phases continuing through the 12th and 13th centuries as documented in historical records.

The interior walls display fragments of 14th-century geometric frescoes and a notable painting depicting people paying homage to a ruler.

The tower contains four levels with vaulted ceilings and maintains its original architectural elements following 20th-century preservation efforts.

Initially positioned outside the city walls, the tower was later incorporated within the Scaliger walls constructed during Cangrande della Scala's reign.
