Madonna delle Nevi, Mountain sanctuary in Pradalunga, Italy
The Madonna delle Nevi sanctuary stands at an elevation with stone walls, a bell tower from 1959, and a single nave divided into three barrel-vaulted bays.
Local miners built the church as a vow after the 1630 plague, following reports of Virgin Mary sightings near their stone quarry operations.
The sanctuary houses fifty votive offerings, including a notable piece created by Emilio Nembrini in 1935, displaying the community's religious dedication through generations.
A paved road constructed in 1962 replaced two mule tracks, making the sanctuary accessible by car from the center of Pradalunga.
The presbytery area features frescoes depicting the Visitation of Elizabeth and the Nativity, framed by geometric decorations on the walls.
