Santa Maria del Tiglio, Romanesque church in Gravedona ed Uniti, Italy

The church features walls of stone masonry with horizontal Musso marble bands and gray stone blocks forming a geometric pattern on its exterior.

The structure dates to the 12th century, built upon an earlier church site linked to Queen Teodolinda, wife of King Autari who captured Comacina Island.

The interior preserves a Roman altar, frescoes from the 13th to 16th centuries, and a wooden crucifix from the Romanesque period.

Located directly on Lake Como's shore, the church provides accessible parking and includes ramps for visitors with limited mobility.

The bell tower transitions from a square base to an octagonal shape, incorporating two and three-mullioned windows beneath a high bell naos.
