San Sebastiano Church is a religious building featuring a three-part facade with a central entrance and a square bell tower. Inside, three naves are supported by pillars decorated with fluted details, and the sanctuary ends with an elevated platform enclosed by railings and a rounded apse.
The building was constructed between 1886 and 1888 following plans by architect Giovenale Gastaldi and replaced an older church that served the area since 1224. This new structure marked a change in how the community gathered for worship, with a fresh architectural approach.
The church is named after Saint Sebastian and reflects the community's religious traditions through its decorations. Local artists contributed paintings inside that show the devotion and artistic values the village held dear.
Visiting works best around times of regular worship services, when doors are open and you can move through the space without disrupting activities. The church sits in the center of the village and is easy to reach on foot.
The sanctuary area is raised by two steps and enclosed by railings, creating a distinct separation from the rest of the interior. This elevation visually sets apart the holiest part of the church and focuses attention on the semicircular apse beyond.
