Higashimurayama, Residential city in Tokyo Metropolis, Japan

Higashimurayama spans across 17.14 square kilometers on the eastern edge of Sayama Hills, within the Musashino Terrace of Tokyo Metropolis.

The area transformed from a post station during the 8th century to the site of the Battle of Kumegawa in 1333, marking its strategic importance.

The Jizo hall in Shofuku-ji temple remains the oldest intact building in Tokyo and holds the status of National Treasure of Japan.

The city maintains excellent transportation links through the Seibu Shinjuku Line and Seibu Tamako Line, connecting residents to central Tokyo.
