Nagoya Dome, Domed stadium in Daikō Minami, Nagoya, Japan.

Nagoya Dome is a covered stadium in the Daikō Minami district of Nagoya, holding around 40,500 spectators for baseball matches and entertainment events. The geodesic dome displays clear lines of modern engineering and fully encloses the playing field, allowing events to take place regardless of weather conditions.

Mitsubishi Estate designed and built the stadium in 1997 as a new venue for professional baseball in the region. Completion marked the transition of the Chunichi Dragons from their former stadium into a fully covered facility.

This facility serves as the home ground for the Chunichi Dragons, a professional baseball team from the Central League. Fans regularly sing the specially composed song Here for You during games, creating a shared ritual that strengthens the bond between supporters and players.

Visitors reach the stadium via Nagoya Dome-mae Yada station on the Meijō subway line, which connects directly to the entrance area. On match days it is advisable to arrive early, as the surrounding streets often become busy before the event starts.

The outfield walls rise to a height of 4.8 meters (16 feet), which is notably taller compared to other professional baseball fields across Japan. This structural choice means home runs occur less frequently here, requiring players to plan their hits more carefully.
