Oguchi, Administrative town in Niwa district, Japan
Oguchi is a town in Niwa district located on the Nobi Plain in northeastern Aichi Prefecture. The Gojo River flows through the area, dividing the landscape into several sections that form the basis of the local geography.
The town took its current form on October 1, 1906, when four communities merged into one administrative unit. This consolidation created the foundation for the modern municipality that exists today.
Three elementary schools, one junior high school, and one high school form the educational foundation of Oguchi, serving its 24,234 inhabitants.
Visitors will notice industrial facilities throughout the area, as the town is a major center for machine tool production. Getting around is easiest along the main routes and near the river areas where roads are well developed.
The population density reaches 1,775 persons per square kilometer, making Oguchi one of the most densely populated towns in Niwa District.
